I’ve been dying to ink something of Ed Benes, he’s one of my favorite artist in comics. I can’t think of anyone who draws sexier women in comics. I had to do this on the side since I’m bogged down with my regular work and the holidays but it was nice to not have to rush through something.

What’s up Jonathan! Just wanted to check out the site and see some of your work. Man, that angelus picture is beyond amazing. I can’t imagine how long it must’ve taken to draw or ink. There are actually some angel-like characters that i would like to see you draw.from my stories as well.

Hey JP,
I’m glad to hear Ed and the crew like the inks, I’d like to find the time to ink another one of his pinups just for fun.
How many hours a day do I work? hhhmmm….let me think about that for a minute, not nearly enough. Just kidding, it really does depend on the page. Lately i’ve come up with a workflow i’m really enjoying. I’ll take anywhere from 3 to 5 pages and in the first 2 or 3 days I do all my figure inks saving the backgrounds on all the pages for the rest of the week. I’ve found working this way keeps me fresh and more interested in a page. I usually set my timer to 10 hours of work time as a goal.
